Adobe Commerce

Connect your Adobe Commerce (Magento) store to WasteNot to sync order and refund activity. Build audiences based on purchase and refund behavior to optimize your ad targeting.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Adobe Commerce, you will need:

  • Adobe Commerce or Magento Open Source, version 2.4.6 or newer
  • Your store's REST base URL, including the store view
  • A dedicated admin user with API access (username and password)

This connector works with Adobe Commerce (on-premise/PaaS) and Magento Open Source stores that expose the standard REST API. It does not support Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service.

Creating an API user

  1. In your Adobe Commerce admin, go to System > Permissions > All Users and click Add New User
  2. Create a user dedicated to WasteNot and note its username and password
  3. Under User Role, assign a role with read access to Orders, Credit Memos, Carts, and Customers

See the Adobe Commerce integrations guide for more detail.

Finding your REST base URL

Your REST Base URL is your store host followed by the REST path and store view. For example:

https://store.example.com/rest/default

Most stores use the default store view. If your store uses a different store view, use that instead.

Connecting Adobe Commerce

  1. Add a new Adobe Commerce data source in WasteNot
  2. Enter a Name for the data source
  3. Enter your REST Base URL
  4. Enter your API Username
  5. Enter your API Password
  6. Click Connect

WasteNot will begin syncing your store data automatically.

What gets synced

  • Order — A customer placed an order
  • Refund — A credit memo (refund) was issued for an order

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect multiple stores?

Yes. Add a separate Adobe Commerce data source for each store, using that store's REST base URL and API credentials.

Which versions are supported?

Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source 2.4.6 and newer. Older 2.3 and early 2.4 releases, and Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service, are not supported.

My data source shows "Failed" status

This usually means the API user's credentials were changed or the user no longer has the required read permissions. Confirm the user can read orders, credit memos, carts, and customers, then update the credentials in Data Sources.
