Setting Up Campaign Goals

Campaign goals help you define what success looks like for your advertising. WasteNot uses these goals to optimize how audiences are built and synced to your ad platforms.

Why set campaign goals?

Without clear goals, it is hard to know whether your campaigns are working. Campaign goals in WasteNot let you:

  • Define target metrics for new customer acquisition
  • Track progress against your objectives
  • Get alerts when campaigns need attention
  • Compare performance across different audiences and platforms

Types of goals

Acquisition goals

Focus on bringing in new customers. These goals track metrics like:

  • New customers acquired
  • nCAC (new Customer Acquisition Cost)
  • Cost per new customer by channel

Efficiency goals

Focus on reducing wasted spend. These goals track:

  • Percentage of spend reaching new vs. existing customers
  • Budget savings from exclusion audiences
  • Return on ad spend (ROAS) improvements

Growth goals

Focus on overall business growth driven by advertising:

  • Revenue from new customers
  • Customer lifetime value of acquired customers
  • Market expansion metrics
