RB2B
Connect RB2B to WasteNot to sync the people RB2B identifies visiting your website. Use recent visits to keep prospects and customers who are already engaged out of paid acquisition audiences.
Prerequisites
- An RB2B premium plan with API access (Free and Starter plans do not include it)
- Your RB2B API key
The first sync imports up to the last 90 days of identified visitors, the limit of RB2B's API, and then keeps the data source up to date.
Connecting RB2B
Step 1: Find your RB2B API key
- Sign in to RB2B
- Go to My Account → Account Details → Account Settings
- Copy the API Key
Step 2: Connect RB2B in WasteNot
- Add a new RB2B data source in WasteNot
- Enter a name for the data source
- Paste your RB2B API key in the Api Token field
- Click Connect
WasteNot begins syncing your identified visitors.
What gets synced
WasteNot syncs one RB2B event:
- Visited My Website: RB2B identified the visitor on your website, timed at their most recent visit
Visitors are matched by business email address when RB2B has one, and otherwise by their RB2B profile ID.
RB2B identifies individual people in the US only. Outside the US, RB2B identifies companies.
Frequently asked questions
Does WasteNot record every visit?
No. RB2B's API only shows each visitor's most recent visit, so WasteNot records the latest visit it sees on each sync. If someone visits several times between syncs, only the last of those visits is recorded. See RB2B's Profiles API FAQs.
Does WasteNot sync pages viewed or company details?
No. WasteNot does not import page URLs, referrers, tags, or company details from RB2B.
How do I rotate my API key?
RB2B has one API key per account, and regenerating it replaces the old key. Anything else using the old key, including WasteNot, stops working. After regenerating the key in RB2B, open Integrations, edit the RB2B data source, and paste the new key.
My data source shows "Failed" status
Confirm that the API key is current and that your RB2B plan includes API access. If your RB2B billing lapses, the API stops working and the data source shows a failed status. For more on RB2B's API, see Using the RB2B Profiles API. If you need help, contact support@wastenot.io.
