Reading Your Performance Report

WasteNot performance reports give you a clear picture of how your advertising is performing, with a focus on true new customer acquisition and wasted spend reduction.

Accessing your reports

Navigate to the analytics section in WasteNot to see your performance reports. Reports are available at the organization level and can be filtered by date range, audience, and advertising platform.

Key metrics

nCAC (new Customer Acquisition Cost)

The headline metric. This shows the true cost of acquiring a new customer after excluding existing customers from your campaigns. Learn more about nCAC.

Wasted spend eliminated

The amount of ad budget that was redirected from existing customers to genuine prospecting. This is calculated based on the exclusion audiences WasteNot syncs to your ad platforms.

Audience sync status

Shows the health of your audience syncs across all connected ad platforms. Includes:

  • Last sync time for each audience
  • Number of customers in each exclusion list
  • Any sync errors that need attention

Platform breakdown

Performance metrics broken down by advertising platform (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.), so you can compare effectiveness across channels.

Reading the trend

Look for these positive signals in your reports:

  • nCAC trending down — Your prospecting campaigns are becoming more efficient
  • Wasted spend decreasing — More of your budget is reaching new prospects
  • Audience sizes growing — Your customer base is expanding, and exclusion lists are keeping up

Taking action

If your reports show areas for improvement:

  • Check that all your data sources are actively syncing
  • Review your audience criteria to make sure exclusion lists are comprehensive
  • Verify your ad platform connections are healthy
