Connect Gorgias to WasteNot to sync customer support activity, including ticket creation, ticket closure, inbound customer messages, and satisfaction survey responses. Use this data to build audiences based on recent support behavior.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Gorgias, you will need:

• A Gorgias account
• Your Gorgias account subdomain
• A Gorgias API token
• The email address for the user who created the API token

Finding your Gorgias credentials

Your Account ID is the subdomain in your Gorgias URL. For example, if your Gorgias URL is https://brandname.gorgias.com, enter brandname.

Create or copy your API token from your Gorgias REST API settings. WasteNot uses the token together with the user email address that created it.

Connecting Gorgias

1. Add a new Gorgias data source in WasteNot
2. Enter a Name for the data source
3. Enter your Account ID
4. Enter your API Token ID as the user email address
5. Paste your API Token
6. Click Connect

WasteNot will begin syncing Gorgias support activity automatically.

What gets synced

• Support ticket created — A customer opened a support ticket
• Support ticket closed — A support ticket was closed
• Support message received — A customer sent an inbound support message
• Support satisfaction survey responded — A customer submitted a satisfaction survey response

WasteNot does not sync standalone customer records, standalone tags, outbound agent replies, or internal notes from Gorgias.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect multiple Gorgias accounts?

Yes. Add a separate Gorgias data source for each account you want to sync.

Does WasteNot sync internal notes or agent replies?

No. WasteNot only imports customer support activity that can be useful for audience rules. Internal notes and outbound agent replies are not imported.

My data source shows "Failed" status

This usually means the API token was revoked, copied incorrectly, or no longer has access. Create a new token in Gorgias if needed, then update the data source in Data Sources.
